Navistar Engine Diagnostics (NED)
Navistar Engine Diagnostics (NED) is International’s OEM diagnostic and service software for supported Navistar electronic engine systems. It is designed for technicians and fleets that need comprehensive access to engine data, fault information, testing, parameter settings, and service procedures.
NED allows technicians to monitor engine control systems, retrieve and clear diagnostic trouble codes, view freeze-frame information, record and graph live engine data, and perform supported parameter changes and engine-feature adjustments.
The software includes a broad range of specialized service-bay and actuator tests. Depending on the engine platform, supported functions can include cylinder cutout testing, engine fan testing, cold-start testing, air-management testing, high-pressure pump testing, sensor intermittent-fault testing, sensor calibration, and other component-level diagnostic procedures.
NED also provides dedicated aftertreatment diagnostic capabilities, including supported aftertreatment system tests, service functions, part-replacement procedures, and maintenance or service-interval resets.
Key Capabilities
- DTC diagnostics and freeze-frame data
- Live data monitoring, recording, and graphing
- Actuator and service-bay tests
- Supported engine parameter programming
- Sensor calibration and component-level diagnostics
