Navistar NavKal
Navistar NavKal is OEM ECM calibration and programming software designed for supported International and MaxxForce engine applications. It provides technicians with access to current engine calibration information and supported ECM software updates through a streamlined Navistar programming environment.
NavKal can identify connected vehicle and engine information, display the installed ECM software version, determine whether updated calibrations are available, and install supported calibration updates. The software also provides basic diagnostic functionality by displaying and clearing active and previously active diagnostic trouble codes.
NavKal is primarily a calibration-update tool rather than a full diagnostic application. Customers who need comprehensive engine diagnostics, live data, tests, and service procedures should use Navistar Engine Diagnostics (NED) in conjunction with NavKal.
The Standard NavKal license does not include OEM-controlled parameter changes or blank-module programming. Those functions require NavKal Professional.
